The Lord has said, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isa 55:9)
In fact, the greatest joy a mother can have - watching her sons grow into men of integrity, set on pleasing God.
Ig God gives is insight into the lives of our children or other loved ones, it is for his glory. We love Him all the more as we recognized His hand in their lives, and we can cooperate with Him what He is doing. Knowing that He is in control gives us hope in setbacks or reversals. We can pray in the faith that God's plan will not be thwarted. We have no right to manipulate and connive, as Rebekah did, to accomplish what we think in God's will in our children's lives.
Convictions:
- watching our children to grow with faith
- not to manipulate God's good will and plan on our children
Are we watching the growth of our children with a goldly heart? Or are we manipulating our children's growth with the worldly requirement that does not please and glorify God. If we are not having faith in God's plan and calm with a hoping heart, how could we watch and love our children rightly?
